| Tennis: | Grew up in Locust Valley, NY and was ranked regionally and nationally throughout the juniors. Played four years at Princeton University where captained the Varsity in 1975. Played after graduation and received a USTA National Women's Doubles ranking of #8 in the country with sister Marjory Gengler Smith. Played Mother Daughter national events and was ranked #9 in the country. 2005 International Tennis Hall of Fame Educational Merit Award. 2011 Middles States Tennis Hall of Fame. |

| Business: | After graduation, played on the Professional Platform Tennis Tour. Two
time national champion with Hilary Hilton Marold and Mixed Doubles
national champion with Clark Graebner.
Served as Head Coach of Women's Tennis at Princeton University for 25
years from the fall of 1979 through the spring of 2004. Was the first Chair of the ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Women's Operating Committee serving for 22 years while also serving on the ITA Board of Directors. After retiring as tennis coach at Princeton, served as Assistant Director of the Princeton Varsity Club. Coached privately in the Princeton area through 2010. Recently moved to Annapolis, Maryland. |
