| Tennis: | Charlie Hoeveler was elected to the Board of Directors of the USIC in 2006 and serves on the Website Committee. He has been a member of the USIC since 1992. Charlie has been played on Windmill Cup teams in Mexico City, Amsterdam and Berlin; Columbus Cup Teams in Mexico City and Brussels; Gordon Cup teams in Toronto and Cleveland; Avory Cup teams in Boston, London and San Diego and Presidents Cup teams in Philadelphia and Paris. He has been ranked number one in the world in singles (ITF) in 1991 (45's), 1995 (50's) and #2 in 2001 (55's) as well as #1 in singles in the U.S. twice (1990 and 2001). He has won 39 Gold Balls for USTA national championships in singles (9), doubles (11), mixed doubles (1)!, and Father/Son (19) with a string of 20 consecutive years with a Gold Ball (1990 through 2009). He is an Honorary Member of the IC of Great Britain and a member of the USTA/Norcal Hall of Fame. |
