Biography
Tennis: During his seven years based in Honolulu, Hawaii in the 1970s, Tom was a top ten singles player in the State and won one of the State open singles championship at the Kailua Racquet Club. In Pennsylvania, in the 1990s in the 45s division he held a #2 doubles rankings in the Middle States, and won the Coral Beach, Bermuda singles championship. He has played for the USIC against Canada, Mexico, Czech Republic and New Zealand.
Clubs & Boards: He has been on the Board of Trustees of the Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis Center, the Merion Cricket Club in Philadelphia, and the John's Island Club in Vero Beach. He is a Board member and Treasurer of the USIC, and Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. He now resides in Vero Beach, Florida, and Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
Business: Tom Sandor is an advisor to Boards and senior management of closely-held companies on a range of strategic and financial matters. He was formerly a Managing Partner at KPMG, the global accounting and consulting firm, and later CEO and Board member of several private businesses.
Education: He was educated at St. Paul's School in London, England, where he was on the British Junior Davis Cup squad and held a top ten junior ranking in the UK in singles. At UCLA, where he obtained BA and MBA degrees, he was on the tennis and rugby teams.
