Prague Event 2006

July 20, 2006
Prague, Czech Republic
I received an e-mail from Jiri yesterday summarizing the Prague event and reporting the good news that our team emerged victorious. You will recall that the scoring was based on the number of games won. Our total was 174 vs. 170 for both New Zealand and the Czech Republic. Jiri's summary of the two days was as follows: As you can see, ILTC of Czech Republic took advantage of tennis balls and tennis courts the very first day and finished the first day with 106 points, followed by ILTC of New Zealand with 95 points and ILTC of U.S.A. with 81 points. Members of ILTC of U.S.A. were probably tired after too many sightseeing tours before the tennis event... But the second day, it was just a different story: After a few beers, probably Pilsner Urquell, the Americans came very strong and won the second day with 93 points. On the good level, with 75 points finished the second day ILTC of New Zealand, while ILTC of Czech Republic finished as a last team, only reaching 64 points. Members of ILTC of Czech Republic were probably too tired after ""Official IC Dinner"", which they closed very early in the morning... (This is probably what we have to practice more...) Thanks to everyone for contributing to our good results and great time in Prague. It was really fun to be with all of you.
