USIC members reached new heights this year as members attained world-class results on the ITF Masters Tour and in the USTA National rankings showcasing the exceptional quality of play across the USIC:
- On May 26, 2025, former USIC President Dan Waldman became the world’s top-ranked player in the ITF 70+ Singles rankings.
- In ITF 80+ Singles, the world #1 position belongs to Jimmy Parker, who is also currently world #2 in Doubles in the 80+ division on the heels of fellow member Fred Drilling, who ranks #1 in Doubles in the 80+ division.
- Carolyn Nichols continues to excel on the ITF Masters Tour, where she currently holds the #1 world ranking in Women’s 70 Singles and top USTA national rankings in both Singles and Doubles. A former world champion and a dedicated ambassador of senior tennis, her continued success can be attributed her enduring sportsmanship and excellence.
- In ITF 70+ singles, veteran Tina Karwasky is currently ranked world #4.
- Calvin LaForrest notably achieved a historic milestone in October by ranking #1 in the Men’s 30s, 40s, and 45s simultaneously. His accomplishments highlight the USIC’s younger cohort’s growing strength and depth.
These outcomes highlight that the USIC members are doing more than just competing. They are advancing American tennis internationally, and, most importantly, USIC members are spreading tennis across borders, languages, and cultural divides.
