USIC Members Honored by USTA Middle States for National #1 Ranking

The USIC proudly celebrates Richard King and Bruce Leto Jr., who were recently honored by USTA Middle States at the PATD Awards Ceremony at Germantown Cricket Club for achieving the #1 national ranking in 4.5 18+ doubles in 2025.

The duo delivered an exceptional season, capturing 11 tournament titles in the 4.5 doubles category against a deep and competitive field. Their consistency and performance throughout the year earned them the top national ranking and recognition among the best amateur players in the country.

In addition to their doubles success, both players also excelled individually. Bruce Leto Jr. finished #2 nationally, while Richard King ranked #5 nationally in the 4.5 18+ singles category, further highlighting the strength of their overall game.

Together, King and Leto compiled an impressive 35-3-1 record in verified doubles matches across 2025 and early 2026. Their partnership has been defined not only by results, but by a shared commitment to improvement and complementary playing styles.

During the awards ceremony, both players spoke to the strength of their partnership. Leto credited King’s experience, consistency, and tennis IQ as instrumental to their success, while King praised Leto’s work ethic, athleticism, and dedication to continuous improvement.
